The Power of LinkedIn

Personal networking is critical in most any career or business. Most of us can improve our ability to use a network to increase our odds of connecting to opportunities. Furthermore, anyone considering a career change or planning to start a business MUST be an expert in networking. For that reason, the WhitmanNYC mentorship program is focused on helping alumni connect.

WhitmanNYC is proud to present this special seminar open to ALL SU alumni created by Tom Powner, career coach, about LinkedIn, the standard power-tool to build, track and engage with your professional network.

Seminar topics:

  • What is networking and is it effective?
  • What are some of today’s tools to support building a network?
  • What is LinkedIn and why is it so powerful?
  • Who’s looking at your LinkedIn Profile and when?
  • Understanding the sections of your LinkedIn Profile.
  • Tips on building a powerful LinkedIn Profile.
  • Why you should use LinkedIn to connect with current and future clients/customers.
  • Methods to connect to people on LinkedIn.
  • How to use your LinkedIn network for a job/career search or to land a promotion.

Networking and refreshments will be from 6-630PM folowed by the seminar and Q & A session.
