Our next roundtable series will be hosted by David Schwartz of Slate Property Group. The event will discuss Current and Future Development Trends in Brooklyn and provide an opportunity to network with fellow Syracuse Alumni.


David Schwartz serves as Principal at Slate Property Group. In this role, David manages the development and construction of projects and shares responsibility for all acquisitions as well as investment decisions. David leads ground-up development projects with an emphasis on multifamily and mixed-use properties in Brooklyn’s emerging neighborhoods. He oversees all aspects of the development process, from the acquisition, design and construction to the marketing and sale of a property. Prior to co-founding Slate Property Group, David co-founded two development firms that focused on residential and mixed-use development in New York City with a strong focus on Brooklyn. Collectively his development projects are valued at approximately $1 billion representing over 900 residential units. Earlier in his career, David worked at Crescent Heights where he was involved in the development of over 3,000 apartment and hotel units throughout the United States. David earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Syracuse University.
