Learning Ally Info Session

Use your Syracuse education to help others learn

Join us for an information session at Learning Ally, a wonderful organization that creates audio textbooks for those who learn differently. Aligned with SU's Scholarship in Action, WhitmanNYC is sponsoring this event for our alumni who might like to get involved with this vital organization in the future.

Founded in 1948 as Recording for the Blind, Learning Ally serves more than 300,000 K-12, college and graduate students, veterans and lifelong learners – all of whom cannot read standard print due to blindness, visual impairment, dyslexia, or other learning disabilities.  Learning Ally currently has nearly 6,000 active volunteers nationwide who help bring textbook and literature titles to life. Their work will ultimately help a listener who can’t see, or struggles with reading, to receive a complete book experience.

Join us for this casual presentation to see if you can help bring the dream of learning to those who learn differently. Refreshments will be served. Space is extremely limited so please RSVP today
