Please join us as we help our community on Sandy Service Day, Beautifying Liberty State Park.

Liberty State Park suffered over $20 million in damages as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Volunteers are needed to help clean up the park by performing general landscaping and cleaning the debris from the shoreline.

Event Details:


 Saturday, October 26, 2013 (9:00am-12:00pm)

 Volunteers should wear clothes they feel comfortable getting dirty.

 All projects will be held rain or shine, please check the Jersey Cares website in the event of inclement weather.

 Water and snacks will be provided.


Activities May Include:

 Beach Clean-ups and Fence Installation

 Bench, Picnic Table, Raised Bed Assembly

 Debris/Sand Removal

 Field/Park Revitalization


Transportation and Meeting Location:


Liberty State park is easily accessible by ferry, the Path train via connection to the Light Rail, and by car.  Additional directions can be found at http://www.getnj.com/lsp/lspdirections.shtml.  Volunteers will meet at the 2 hour lot in front of the terminal off Audrey Zapp Drive.
